We are currently looking for a dedicated Catering Manager to help ensure the smooth running of our catering operation within one of our Medirest Signature contracts. The role of the Catering Manager is based at The London Independent Hospital and is a full-time position, contracted to 40 hours per week.

Main Responsibilities:
To fully manage the day to day delivery of all catering services within the hospital kitchen and ward pantries and hospital led events, ensuring that the restaurant and patient food provision within this flag ship private hospital meets the high standards and expectations. Ensure that the Company's reputation for quality and service is enhanced with the client and customer by maintaining effective and visibly good standards in all services, taking immediate steps to remedy, communicate or escalate any deficiencies. To manage and motivate a large team including kitchen and restaurant staff as well as ward hosts, ensuring that all relevant training and development is provided to ensure the team put the customer first.

NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2Basic Food Hygiene certificateExperienced in leading, motivating and managing a large and diverse team to ensure they are working in a cohesive mannerMinimum 4 years catering experience at manager levelExcellent financial acumenGood IT and keyboard skills - Administration is a key part of this roleUnderstanding of EHO expected standards and Health and Safety Standards applicable to catering environmentsDesirable

Food Service Management experience in a patient facing or hotel environmentCurrent working knowledge of food production methods and proceduresExcellent communication skillsSelf-motivated, pro-active with the ability and drive to adapt to a changing environment
