About the Role:
We are looking for a Product Designer to blend research and design, ensuring our platform continues
to provide an intuitive and valuable user experience.
As a Product Designer, you’ll play a key role in continuing to shape our user experience by gathering insights and translating them into impactful designs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams within FINVISE and our clients, using research to drive design decisions and helping further develop (or further enhance) a seamless, user-friendly product(s). This role is ideal for someone with a passion for both research and design, who is eager to make an impact in a fast-paced FinTech environment
Your role will blend design thinking and research to develop (or further enhance) a functional, accessible, and delightful product(s).
Key Responsibilities:
· User-Centric Design: Lead the design process, ensuring a deep understanding of user needs, behaviours, and pain points. Create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that improve overall usability.
· Research & Insights: Conduct user research, including interviews, usability testing, and competitive analysis, to inform design decisions and improve the overall user experience.
· Wireframing & Prototyping: Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas and iterate based on feedback and testing results.
· Visual Design: Produce high-quality designs that are consistent with our brand and best practice design principles.
· Collaboration: Work with developers and stakeholders to ensure alignment between design, user needs, and business objectives.
· Usability & Accessibility: Advocate for best practices in usability and accessibility, ensuring our platform is inclusive and accessible to a wide range of users.
· Continuous Improvement: Regularly test and refine designs based on user feedback, iterating to ensure the product remains user-centred and aligned with market needs.
· Facilitate workshops and design sprints to generate ideas, gather feedback, and drive design thinking within the company.
· Collaborate with the Chief Product Officer to establish design guidelines and standards for the organisation.
· Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging design technologies.
Requirements:
· At least 4+ years of experience in product design or UX research, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment.
· Undergraduate degree in Design (or related fields).
· Postgraduate degree in Design (or related fields) would be an advantage.
· Strong proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma), with experience creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
· Demonstrated expertise in user research methods, including usability testing and interviews, with a proven ability to translate insights into actionable design solutions.
· Experience working in agile or Scrum teams, using collaboration tools like JIRA or Trello.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present design concepts and research findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Problem-solving mindset with an ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have:
· Experience with B2B SaaS platforms or FinTech products.
· Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for better collaboration with developers.
· Experience contributing to or building design systems.
· Knowledge of accessibility standards and a commitment to inclusive design.
