The purpose of the role:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our global project focused on implementing and rolling out an Airline Catering system. This project primary focuses on enhancing flight catering capabilities, It includes some elements of Finance and excludes payroll, and HR functionalities.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, particularly in ERP implementations within the aviation or catering industry.


This will be a fixed term contract with a duration of 12 to 24 months.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the end-to-end project management of the Airline Catering System (ERP) POC implementation, from initial planning to post-implementation support.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals and requirements.
  • Develop and execute project plans, timelines, and budgets, monitoring progress and managing risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, procurement, and catering departments, to ensure smooth integration and implementation of the Airline Catering system.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including selection, contract negotiation, and oversight of deliverables to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Conduct regular project meetings, status updates, and reporting to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
  • Drive change management initiatives to facilitate user adoption, training, and process improvements related to the system.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in aviation and catering operations.


This list is not exhaustive, accountabilities may vary and may include any other duties considered reasonable by the line manager.


What you’ll have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field; PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience (10 years) in project management, specifically leading ERP implementation projects, preferably in the aviation or catering industry
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, business processes, and technologies, with a focus on airline catering operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global and cross-functional environment.
  • Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and managing project budgets and resources.
  • Knowledge of change management principles, training methodologies, and process optimisation strategies.
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed for project meetings, vendor visits, and rollout activities.


Desirable:

  • Experience or background in aviation and/or catering industry
  • Experience working with diverse teams or stakeholders in a cross-functional environment

  • Commitment to prioritising customer needs and requirements in airline catering solutions, ensuring that the ERP system enhances catering operations, menu management, and service quality to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Sound judgment in making well-informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle, considering both short-term deliverables and long-term strategic implications for the airline catering business.
