JOB DESCRIPTION
As the National Account Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with various Wholesale customers, driving commercial growth and supporting future opportunities. This role involves overseeing key strategic accounts on a national level. You will take full ownership of customer relationships, balancing external needs with the support of a cross-functional team, including category management, shopper marketing, and supply chain. The role offers regular interaction with leadership teams in the UK and across Europe, with full accountability for the entire account management lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver customer Annual Operating Plan (AOP) P&L, including agreed targets for volume, Net Sales Value (NSV), Gross Profit (GP), and GP% metrics.
- Oversee pricing, promotions, negotiations, and account planning for assigned customer accounts.
- Develop and strengthen customer relationships while integrating customer strategies into the business.
- Gain a deep understanding of category, market, customer, and consumer dynamics.
- Negotiate listings for new product development (NPD) and expand distribution for existing products.
- Evaluate promotional activities to maximize impact.
- Lead internal business planning and manage key stakeholders.
- Leverage internal resources effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a UK Account Executive or Manager in a FMCG brand environment
- Demonstrated success in driving NSV growth, with a proactive approach to identifying additional growth opportunities.
- Degree educated (or equivalent).
