Role Overview:

Reporting to the CEO, the ESG Director will be responsible for leading and developing the global ESG strategy across the organization, ensuring that it aligns with our business goals, stakeholder expectations, and regulatory requirements. This role will be critical in driving the integration of ESG factors into investment decisions, operational practices, and company culture. The ESG Director will work closely with senior management, investment teams, portfolio companies, and external stakeholders to promote sustainable business practices and enhance long-term value creation.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in ESG, sustainability or responsible investing, with a strong background in the financial services sector.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing ESG strategies in a global, multi-jurisdictional environment.
  • Experience working in a private equity-backed business or with private equity investors is highly desirable.


Skills & Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of ESG principles, frameworks, and regulations, particularly as they apply to the financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex ESG risks and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong focus on results.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) preferred.
  • Relevant ESG or sustainability certifications (e.g., CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing, GRI Certification) are a plus.
