With a strong presence in the education sector and a rapidly expanding user base, we are seeking a skilled SQL Team Lead to join the business and help ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.


The Opportunity:

In this hands-on leadership role, you'll leverage your expertise in Microsoft SQL Server to manage a team, troubleshoot complex database issues, and guide migration strategies. You'll be instrumental in ensuring optimal database performance and keeping our data pipelines flowing smoothly.


The Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of database developers
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on SQL code
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database deployment and performance challenges
  • Develop and implement comprehensive database migration strategies
  • Design and configure data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Pipelines
  • Fine-tune SQL Server performance for optimal efficiency


Requirements...

  • Extensive experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration
  • A proven track record of leading and motivating teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A passion for data architecture and migration strategies
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Pipelines (a plus)


Extra Desirables:

  • Familiarity with Azure Data Bricks
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and SSIS reports
