We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Contract/Project Manager to join our client's growing team. Based in Derbyshire with nationwide travel, you will oversee and manage multiple contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract & Project Management: Oversee and manage all stages of steelwork contracts from inception to completion.
- Cost Management: Handle all aspects of budgeting, including costings, forecasting, and financial control.
- Collaboration: Work closely with draughtsmen, providing them with the necessary technical input and guidance.
- Site Surveys & Meetings: Conduct site surveys, attend client and site meetings to ensure project requirements are fully understood and met.
- Labour Management: Organize and oversee labour, ensuring resources are efficiently utilized and projects run smoothly.
- Deadline Management: Work to strict deadlines, ensuring contracts are completed to the highest quality standards.
About You:
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in contract and project management within the steelwork industry (with a focus on architectural steel).
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of budgeting, costing, surveys, and labour management.
- Leadership: Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously, with excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Communication: Strong communicator who can effectively liaise with clients, team members, and subcontractors.
- Travel: Willingness to travel nationwide, as the role involves managing contracts across the country.
