To support our growth, we are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial and process driven VP Supply Chain, this is a senior operational role which will lead the entire supply chain including management of virtual supply chains, Primary and Secondary and Global Logistics.


As we go through our global transformation phase this is an opportunity to make a real impact, drive supply chain enabled sales, implement process improvements, drive strategic planning and very much operate as an influential figure.


Supply Chain & Operational Excellence

  • End to end leadership of entire Supply Chain for all products and services.
  • Provide strategic leadership of Supply Chain, Sourcing & Procurement, and Logistics functions.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out to appropriate regulatory standards as described by GDP, GMP, MHRA, EMEA etc.
  • Oversee improvement programs involving operational functions to leverage margin enhancements and service.
  • Continuously drive and deliver improvement across service, quality, safety and cost.
  • Exhibit a pro-active approach in co-ordinating with other functions and organisations as required in order to ensure timely resolution of material management, logistical, process and quality/compliance issues.


Storage

  • Directly manage European warehouse footprint and logistics network and instil a culture of continuous improvement and management by data.
  • Set and maintain global standards with set KPIs and scorecards and monitor global performance and compliance in conjunction with quality and risk.
  • Drive increased efficiency and throughput including improving working capital tied up in inventory across unlicensed and licensed products.
  • Assess extending utilisation of storage assets across other parts of the business.


Freight

  • Select and manage preferred vendor globally to leverage scale to benefit cost, speed, and quality.
  • Implement supply chain optimisation software and AI to drive continued enhancement of freight movements.
  • Standardise and optimise approach to outer packaging to balance cost and meeting quality requirements.
  • Third-Party Distributors
  • Takeover management of third-party distributors managing supply across Services and Products.
  • Formalise approach to distributor qualification and ongoing management.
  • Develop cohesive strategy to maximise partnerships to drive operational efficiency and differentiation in commercial offering.


Packaging and Planning (licensed products)

  • Have accountability for product supplied by CMOs, end to end, working to minimize and eliminate any risks to supply of product to patients.
  • Leading and innovating the S&OP process.
  • Support new product launches by integrating them into the supply chain plan.
  • Responsible for Planning functions including Inventory and Demand Planning.
  • Working closely with commercial teams to manage the inventory of finished goods at levels balanced against customer service needs and financial targets.
  • Provide oversight & direction of planning parameters (lead times, order quantities, inventory balance, strategic inventory needs, vendor capacity, and transportation modes) across all operational functions.
  • Improve dynamism to respond to changing market conditions.


People Management

  • Providing direction and guidance to the overall Supply Chain team.
  • Managing, motivating, coaching and mentoring direct reports, to higher levels of management capability.
  • Reviewing and developing the Supply Chain team structure.
  • Working with all members of staff to maintain and develop the positive progressive culture within the Group.
  • Ensuring a development plan is in place for all teams.


Personal Development

  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships at a senior level within the pharmaceutical industry and with major relevant organizations, societies and networks.
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with key Clinigen Group stakeholders.


Business Development/Commercial Support

  • Support customer and regulatory audits/inspections, as required.
  • Maintaining an awareness of new and proposed legislation that impacts the business and communicating any changes.
  • Provide Supply Chain support to Due Diligence assessments of potential product and company acquisitions.
  • Develop differentiated supply chain offerings to enhance our client offering across services and products.
  • Identify new revenue and business models utilizing our extensive footprint and capabilities.


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Master’s Degree or higher in related technical or business field of study preferred.
  • Significant and demonstrable experience in Supply Chain or Materials Management required.
  • Significant experience of leading large teams across multiple sites.
  • Experience of operating at a senior level with international responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of the Regulatory, Legal, and Financial dimensions and linkages to and with the planning organization.
  • Experience of lean and continuous improvement principles across supply chains, ideally within a multisite or international environment.
  • Experience of supplier performance and relationship management across complex supply chains.
  • Experience of developing and successfully implementing strategic plans.
  • Experience in clinical trial labelling, supplies, logistics & distribution an advantage.
  • Knowledge in planning, procurement and capacity a significant advantage.
  • Exposure to Oracle ERP, Microsoft Office Suite, APICS Certification.
