Your New Role
Working with the Maintenance Manager and Engineering Technicians within the manufacturing facilities on site, we'll expect you to ensure that maintenance, calibrations, and improvements are effectively implemented by utilising modern maintenance techniques.
- Work with Production to integrate maintenance, improvement and production activities through short term maintenance plans.
- Initiate, lead and deliver improvements in own team and on the plant improvement plans, identify and prioritise improvement opportunities & risks for assets/processes
- Propose, impact assess and implement change to assets/processes to ensure the manufacture is fully compliant and to maintain or improve asset/process robustness
- Drive the use of standard ways of working across the organisation
- Utilise analysis tools including TPM, RCM, RCA, Value Mapping and FMEA to identify and prioritise improvement opportunities & risks for the assets
- Review the performance of the assets and engineering team using data (eg. SAP, OEE and Pareto) to identify and resolve systematic weaknesses & respond to signals
- Works with local and wider PET teams to deliver compliant improvements associated with GMP, SHE, robustness and reliability.
- Collate data to drive improvement business cases and deliver change using appropriate techniques, contributing to initiatives and projects.
- Delivers local changes thus providing problem resolution to production issues, demonstrating an uplift in the assets performance following compliant implementation to a future state.
- To be an on-plant deputy for the Maintenance Manager
Essential Requirements
- Relevant delivery experience of assets & process improvement practices within a highly regulated environment
- Relevant technical/engineering degree or HNC
- Statistical understanding (dataset etc)
- Technical report writing & generation
- Reactive and proactive technical support within a manufacturing environment
- OEE/Pareto understanding & improvement performance measurements and skills to review and analyse as well as propose and implement improvements based on performance data
- Understanding of Site Procedures, relevant Engineering and Maintenance Standards and able to train others.
- Ability to use data to evaluate performance and identify required problem solving, improvements and opportunities.
Desirable Requirements
- Professional Engineer
- Expertise in the deployment of process improvement in a highly regulated environment
- Experience with data analysis and delivery of improvement initiatives
- Experienced from working in a manufacturing maintenance environment
- Understanding of Maintenance Excellence/TPM principles
- OCM Change Manager
- Project and business process management experience.
- Aseptic pharmaceutical manufacturing awareness.
- Experience with equipment qualification
