**JOB TITLE : Maintenance and Facilities Team Leader**

**REPORTING TO : Head of HSE, Facilities and Maintenance**

**Scope and Purpose**:
Supervise the site Maintenance function in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. Ensure the companies Building, Facilities and Equipment are upkept to a standard which ensures the business short term and long term production objectives

Responsible for ensuring that the facilities, layout and associated machinery operate in a safe and efficient manner and that unplanned down time is minimised

To develop, coach and direct the maintenance team and ensure that the department delivers a first class service to the production and indirect departments across the business.

To be involved in and participate in day to day Maintenance and Facilities based business activities.

To take the lead on all contractor management across ‘Business as Usual’ functions and within specific projects ensuring compliance across Safety, Environmental commitment and legal obligations.

**Duties and Responsibilties**:

- Ensure that the Facilities and Maintenance function operates in accordance with all associated HSE policies and procedures and to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff, contractors and visitors.
- Manage all contractor functions including regular service contractors and project contractors.
- Complete and manage the Permit to Work system for Senior Maintenance staff and Contractors
- Ensure that buildings and services meet the needs of the business and the employees.
- Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan in missed maintenance activities, and lead the team to deliver effectively
- Forward planning to ensure that the department has sufficient resources to achieve its objectives.
- Be a key stakeholder for all Risk Assessment activities within or associated with Facilities and Maintenance
- Respond to emergency calls for Facilities and Maintenance
- To train, coach and develop the maintenance team including personal development plans and performance reviews.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
- Perform troubleshooting to solve minor repair issues
- Perform administrative tasks as required. A basic understanding of MS Office is required (excel, P.Point, Word, Outlook)
- Manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels
- Delegate tasks to meet maintenance schedule and satisfy employer needs
- Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Maintenance activities
- Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility
