Octric has ambitious plans to grow the company and expand with new products and applications, and the company is developing a 10-year investment plan. We now have a bright new path ahead of us following the recent significant investment from the UK Ministry of Defence. As a part of an emerging semiconductor cluster in the northeast, we are focussed on developing advanced technology, focussed on the next generation of semiconductors. We are looking to fill a number of exciting roles across device design and innovation through to manufacturing & reliability.


Located in Newton Aycliffe, UK, we occupy a 10,000 m2 purpose-built Class 100 manufacturing facility fully equipped to produce state of the art compound semiconductor product.

PURPOSE OF ROLE:


The role of Senior Program Manager is pivotal in our organization, serving as a driving force for the strategic planning, implementation, and success of all our programs and initiatives. As a Senior Program Manager, you will oversee multiple projects, providing leadership, direction, and support to ensure alignment with our objectives and goals. This position requires a visionary leader with exceptional organizational skills, a knack for problem-solving, and a passion for making a meaningful impact. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Developing and implementing project and program strategies and objectives
  • Managing program budgets and resources
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of various programs
  • Coordinating with stakeholders to ensure program alignment with organizational goals
  • Monitoring and evaluating program performance and outcomes
  • Providing leadership and direction to your teams across the organisation.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards
  • Identifying and mitigating program risks
  • Facilitating communication and collaboration among team members
  • Preparing and presenting program reports to senior management
  • Securing funding and managing grant applications
  • Developing and maintaining program policies and procedures
  • Conducting program needs assessments and feasibility studies


JOB REQUIREMENTS


Experience

  • At least 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Extensive experience in program management or related roles


Key Skills

  • Proven track record of successful program implementation
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience in budget management and financial analysis
  • Familiarity with grant writing and funding procurement
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience in team leadership or supervisory roles
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to travel as needed for program-related activities


Education/Qualifications

BSc in Engineering, physics or other relevant field. Higher degree in business administration desirable
