We are seeking a talented Performance Evaluation Specialist to become an integral part of our dynamic R&D team in Manchester, UK. In this exciting role, you will take the lead in developing, validating, and conducting claim substantiation studies for both new and existing formulations in the Personal Care and Home Care market applications. Your work will align with the Global Home Care and Personal care marketing strategy and commercial objectives, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of performance and safety.


As a key player in our team, you will share your knowledge and technical expertise through essential activities while capturing critical data on appropriate platforms. Your commitment to maintaining a high level of safety in all laboratory operations will be paramount. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop new testing capabilities that cater to project needs and performance requirements.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop test protocols to support non-biocidal claims for new products in Personal Care and Home Care markets
  • Manage multiple innovation project requirements and prioritise tasks according to timelines
  • Perform data analysis using statistical tools to assess the significance of results
  • Contribute to the production of technical literature and documentation
  • Provide technical support to stakeholders by applying scientific knowledge and practical skills
  • Present updates at internal and external technical meetings
  • Work closely with the Global R&D technical team to improve methodologies and skills
  • Research emerging trends and technologies to enhance personal expertise and team performance
  • Lead laboratory safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations (COSHH)


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in chemistry, formulation or cosmetic science
  • Business fluent in English
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in industry R&D (Personal Care or Home Care)
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and to assimilate and evaluate scientific data
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with attention to detail
