Higher Education experience would be a bonus


My client are a leading London based Higher Education institution, looking for a new Head of IT.

They are committed to delivering innovative solutions and enhancing operations through cutting-edge technology. Also seeking a dynamic Head of IT Infrastructure to lead their technological initiatives and ensure a robust and efficient IT environment.


Position Overview:


As the Head of IT, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and scalability. You will lead a team of IT professionals, collaborating closely with other departments to align technology solutions with business objectives.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize the company's IT infrastructure, aligning them with business goals.
  • Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and efficient operations.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, hardware, software, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, solutions, and upgrades to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and develop solutions to support their objectives.
  • Manage IT budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships effectively to achieve cost-effective and high-quality IT solutions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
