Job Purpose:


To help maintain the efficient, secure and reliable running of company desktop and other technical infrastructure to support Hanwha Vision’s business operations. This involves installation, configuration and maintaining end user workstations, laptop computers and other equipment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • 1st and 2nd line support in person, by phone and remotely for workstations/laptops and other technical equipment as well as supporting and administering business applications.
  • Escalate problems when required to IT Manager.
  • Record, track and document the help-desk request problem-solving process on FreshService, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware and configuring systems and applications.
  • Test fixes to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
  • Create and maintain documentation for common procedures and processes.
  • Monitor and maintain the services central to desktop support, e.g. antivirus, windows updates and patch management through endpoint management solution, device use etc.
  • Management of technical assets and the asset management system, including allocation, tracking and annual asset audits.
  • Other common tasks to include OS deployment, imaging computers, configuring desktops, installing printers for users, installing common software, virus cleaning and end user help.
  • Participate in product and technology research for infrastructure and application solutions and product development that helps to support the end user.
  • Handle straight forward Change Requests and participate in more difficult Change Requests.


Skill Requirements:


  • Higher diploma or equivalent in Computing and IT
  • 1st Line call logging and support experience beneficial
  • Exposure to ITIL best practice beneficial
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Ability to communicate technical information, verbally and in writing/diagrams
  • Have a calm, methodical approach to troubleshooting and a determination to find solutions to technical issues
  • Windows 10 and 11 experience is necessary
  • Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Office Applications – MS Office + O365 (beneficial)
  • English language essential, European languages beneficial


Location:


The jobholder is required to be located at Hanwha Vision Europe Ltd, Heriot House, Heriot Road, Chertsey, Surrey, KT16 9DT – Our normal office hours are 09:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday, but the jobholder may be required to work outside of these hours as and when required to meet business needs, and the role will include travel throughout the region and outside of the UK from time to time.
