Senior Designer with Architectural Background – Top Commercial D&B Firm

£70,000 + commission | Permanent Role | Revit | East London


This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Senior Designer with a strong architectural background to join a dynamic, innovative company specialising in high-profile commercial schemes. If you are an architect looking to transition into the fast-paced world of D&B, this role is your perfect crossover. The firm’s focus on sustainability, regeneration, and blending modern architecture with conservation make it an exciting environment whilst the quality of their projects means they are an absolute powerhouse in the industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design process from concept through to completion for sustainable, commercial schemes across a range of scales.
  • Collaborate with landlords, tenants, and internal teams to deliver tailored design solutions that balance modernity with heritage conservation.
  • Prepare detailed designs and layouts using Revit, ensuring project specifications meet sustainability and conservation goals.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining high-quality standards and adherence to timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment with sustainability and design expectations.
  • Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Lead design presentations and pitch; clearly convey core design principles that relate to the client brief.


Requirements:

  • Traditional architectural background (ARB registration advantageous but not essential) with a strong desire to move into Design & Build.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Experience working on large commercial schemes with a top AJ100 practice or renowned D&B studio
  • Experience working with major property owners and developers in the UK.
  • Ability to communicate fluently with landlord teams and adapt to the D&B environment.
  • Proven experience delivering projects on time and within budget in a client-facing role.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload.
