Lo-Fi Games is a small, busy, independent games studio based in Bristol, who prize diversity and staff welfare. 


We are looking for an Associate Producer to help pull our Kenshi 2 team together and oversee its success. A challenging role for a huge and innovative project, the successful candidate will be working closely with our Production Director to keep the development and design teams working collaboratively towards milestones, whilst sticking to the same creative and technical vision.


To be successful in this role, you should be well-organised, have excellent time management and communication skills, be able to understand and balance the needs of others, and be able to act without guidance.


Ultimately, you will be a crucial member of the Lo-Fi Games Development Team, guiding our multidisciplinary teams with well-designed work processes and helping deliver clear expectations to help keep everyone on track and working towards the same vision.


This role is offered as a hybrid role - a regular catch up will be required in our Central Bristol office, so please only apply if you are local to the area or can happily commute.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure the vision of Kenshi 2 is delivered to the high standard expected with the values of Lo-Fi Games Ltd always follows
  • Work with the Production Director to ensure tasks are closely monitored and kept up to date with the latest information on requirements, dependencies, and timelines.
  • Track all production processes through direct communication with team members and leads (lore/writing, art, design, development, QA, localisation, marketing etc)
  • Ensure timely delivery of milestones while safeguarding quality of work in accordance with predefined project schedule and values of the company
  • Maintain project schedules for all functional areas of development
  • Assistance in overseeing for beta testing and focus groups
  • Provide detailed reports to management on task completion, team velocity, and critical blocking issues


Requirements:


  • Two years’ experience as a Producer in the games industry, preferably with experience working with scaling indie companies
  • Must have shipped at least one video game title.
  • Experience project managing a team of 4+ developers and creatives (writers, programmers, artists, animators, designers, testers)
  • Strong project management skills - fluent with Agile methodology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of production, the difficulties generally encountered by teams and solutions tailored to their requirements
  • Ability to analyse problems and provide consistent guidance on different areas such as: art, game design, programming, organisation, business
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • A great knowledge of the indie gaming market and community/consumer expectations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, combining leadership and diplomacy
  • A basic knowledge of game development and relevant software
