Contract Length: 9 months, with potential for a 12-month extension

Day Rate: £550-£575, Inside IR35



About the Role:

We’re seeking an experienced Development Technical Lead (DTL) with expertise in Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing to drive a pivotal project for our London based transport client. This role will be central to delivering a bespoke, in-house Business Operations (BOps) solution, integrating the latest in Azure and Dynamics 365 technology. You’ll lead technical design, architecture, and seamless integration for a large-scale customer contact platform, tailored to manage and enhance customer interactions and support high-volume transaction systems.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Design, build, and enhance an Azure-integrated architecture to support the BOps solution. Act as the primary technical interface across the programme.
  • Project Delivery: Coordinate with Agile Development Leads, Solution Architects, and Product Owners to ensure optimal functionality and integration, supporting the MVP rollout.
  • System Integration: Manage integrations between system and third-party solutions, aligning with service objectives for congestion, emission, and road safety enhancements.
  • Sprint & Documentation: Oversee sprint cycles, contributing to high-quality software delivery, iterative design documentation, and secure solution implementation.



Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Technical Proficiency: Expert in C#, .NET, Java, JavaScript, SQL, PowerShell, Azure DevOps Pipelines, TDD, and Clean Code Techniques.
  • Solution Design: Skilled in architecting high-volume back-office systems, with extensive experience on large transactional systems within Azure.
  • Project Management: Familiarity with Agile and waterfall methodologies, sprint planning, and iterative release cycles.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Ability to present technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, ensuring clarity across all phases of development.



Deliverables:

  • Onboarding & Knowledge Transfer: Rapid onboarding to immerse in the clients operational goals and technical scope within the first month.
  • Agreed Technical Designs: Work iteratively with Solution Architects to refine and finalize designs.
  • Documentation: Create and refine technical documentation to support development and broader solution design.
  • MVP Delivery: Guide the team to deliver the solution’s minimum viable product by September 2025.
