Senior Bioanalytical Scientist

Expansion of the bioanalytical capability at Pharmidex means that we have a vacancy for a Senior Bioanalytical Scientist based at our laboratory in Hertfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to play a major role in further expanding our services in LC-MS based discovery and GxP bioanalysis.


Key Responsibilities:

·      Method development, sample analysis and data reporting for a wide range of discovery bioanalytical studies, for small molecules, peptides and other modalities.

·      Development, validation and execution of bioanalytical studies in accord with GLP guidelines.

·      Management and development of junior staff.

·      Act as SD/PI for client studies carried out internally or externally.

·      Build and maintain good relationships with clients.


Your background:

·      You should have as a minimum a degree in Chemistry, or with Chemistry as a major component

·      You will have at least five years experience of working in a bioanalytical laboratory in an industrial setting, where you will have been responsible for sample preparation, LC-MS method development and validation.

·      You will have developed good skills in communication and teamwork.

·      You will have gained a good understanding of drug discovery and development and how ADMET studies fit into that process. Knowledge of metabolite identification would be useful.

·      Knowledge and have practical experience of meeting the requirements of GLP Compliance would be beneficial.

·      Experience of acting as Study Director / PI for bioanalytical studies will be advantageous.
