Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: £80,000k - £95,000k DOE + £5k Car Allowance + Benefits Package (Bonus, Private Healthcare, Pension, Holidays etc)
Location: Whitehaven, Cumbria
Hours of work: 38 Hours - Monday to Friday
Role information: To provide commercial leadership to support the company in achieving successful commercial outcomes in all areas of business and / or major projects. Extensive experience in managing commercial activity working with internal and external stakeholders to promote the interests of the company. The Senior Commercial Manager will provide the expertise on internal procedures (BOPs) as well as external best practice and provide direction on commercial strategy. The Senior Commercial Manager will be responsible for the building and development of commercial teams to deliver projects.
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- MSc, BSc or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or in a related commercial, technical or engineering discipline
- Extensive knowledge of NEC3/4 suite of contract
- In-depth experience in managing commercial contract negotiations and procedures and an extensive knowledge of various forms of contract
- Knowledge and application of Business Operating Procedures
- Experience of dispute avoidance/resolution techniques
- Extensive knowledge and application of problem solving and risk management techniques
- Nuclear industry experience or other highly regulated industry experience
- Proven track record of working on large scale complex projects
- Internal and external stakeholder management skills
