Mechanical Engineer HandoverJob location: BurghfieldDuration: 6 monthsIR35 status: Outside IR35Our Client an Engineering company are seeking an Mechanical Engineer Handoverfor a contract position in Reading - Burghfield location. This role is placed within Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Construction or highly regulated industry. Must be eligible to obtain SC clearance as a minimum.RoleAs a Mechanical Engineer - Handover you will assist in the delivery of an ongoing Mechanical & Electrical package in a nuclear environment near Reading. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with experience within a highly regulated industry.Key Aims & ObjectivesAs a Mechanical Engineer you will support Project Management to ensure outsourced Mechanical design meets requirement. Ensure Mechanical project scope is satisfied efficiently and effectively.Strict adherence to customer’s specification and standards. Review Issued design and process documents.Role & ResponsibilitiesAssist with the verification and population of the installed equipment for Asset Registers, O&M manuals.Site verifications of design to ensure adherence to customer’s specification and standards.Work alongside design engineers to ensure designs are fit for purpose and identify design solutions Peer review of sub-contractor produced drawings and documentation against project specification requirements.Raise and manage Technical Queries through to completion.Help develop and maintain a good working relationship with clients and suppliers, including the identification, assessment, and integration of new Electrical sub-contractors.Witnessing factory acceptance tests and projects sign off.Supporting the scheduling and tasking information to the Lead Engineers and Project Management to support project deliveryOn-site support to the Construction TeamParticipation in on site Environment, Safety and Health culture (ESH card)Skills and experienceMinimum QualificationCity and Guilds or NVQ Level 3CSCSExperience in a similar roleMust be able to obtain SC ClearanceIf you feel you have the experience and qualifications to succeed in this role, then please apply using the link.
