Our client is a leading edge, Private Equity backed SaaS business with a proven , scalable platform.They are poised for significant international growth both organically and by a series of planned acquisitions. The newly appointed CFO has an outstanding track record in growth, Tech companies with significant exit and Private Equity experience. They are seeking a talented Corporate Finance professional to oversee the corporate development and support the CFO, Board and Investors.You will lead and manage the pipeline of acquisitions, both in the UK and overseas to subsequent integrations. You will be pivotal to the buy and build strategy and will work closely the investors, potential vendors, internal and external stakeholders alongside the group’s executive and operational leadership.

Whilst the finance function is based in Sheffield, the business has a truly agile approach and thus the new role can be based in any location across the UK provided that there is a commitment to maintaining a presence across the business and travel a few times a month. The leadership team often work/meet in London and the new role will work closely with London based investors also.



Responsibilities include:

  • Manage all aspects of the M&A transactions following origination through to integrations
  • Build strong relationships with key potential targets, leading the deal lifecycle
  • Leading detailed analysis and diligence of target companies
  • Building financial models for valuations and deal structuring
  • Term sheet negotiations
  • Managing external due diligence consultants
  • Managing legal advisers towards preparing final transaction documents
  • Preparing periodic portfolio reports for the investment team
  • Building ad hoc models as required



Key requirements for the role:

  • You will have a graduate level education and a professional accountancy qualification
  • A proven track record within Corporate Finance/Transaction Services
  • Prior experience gained of buy side deals
  • Strong strategic thinking and commercially driven, not only well versed in execution, but has vision to align to strategic growth plans
  • Highly organised and able to multi-task and project manage an ambitious pipeline
  • Engaging and confident, able to build and maintain relationships with external advisors, and the leadership team
  • Excellent IT and modelling skills
