Location: Poole (office-based)
We have partnered with a leading product distribution company who are looking to add a passionate and driven Procurement Specialist to its team. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fulfilment process and maintaining accurate supplier and product data within our company systems.
Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of the purchase order process for your assigned supplier category.
* Ensure timely and accurate loading and maintenance of supplier and product data across various systems.
* Collaborate effectively with the Supply Chain Manager, Expediter, and other internal teams.
* Oversee the entire purchase order process, from creation to delivery.
* Manage communication with suppliers regarding purchase orders, ensuring acknowledgements, addressing discrepancies, and escalating issues when necessary.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier and product information within company systems.
* Monitor and expedite purchase orders as needed to maintain high service levels.
* Track and report on product and supplier performance, including managing rebates.
* Manage the introduction of new products and suppliers according to established procedures.
* Prepare data and reports for supplier reviews and negotiations.
