Project Design Engineer
Job Type & Working Hours: Full-time office-based role working 8am – 5pm Mondy to Thursday and 8am – 430pm Friday
Location: Lincolnshire village. Commutable by car from Grantham, Sleaford, Lincoln, and Newark within 30 minutes.

Job Purpose:
To strengthen the Engineering function by providing technical support, guidance, and documentation across multiple departments, including Sales, Projects, Reactive, Manufacturing, and Quality.

Main Duties:
Abide by and promote health & safety, ensuring compliance with all approved policies and processes.
Utilise Computer Aided Design (CAD) to:
Support product development within the company’s portfolio.
Create bespoke solutions to meet customer needs.
Provide sales support by integrating current products into site-specific customer needs.
Document best practices and produce assembly and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) information.
Report on project progress using the company database, tailoring the level of detail appropriately.
Organise and maintain documentation and technical files.
Ensure projects and product solutions comply with relevant standards and legislation.
Assist with significant machine builds in the factory that require engineering input.
Develop and expand training materials and SOPs to upskill the engineering workforce.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in this role include:
Completion of projects on time according to schedule.
Assistance in achieving engineering milestones outlined in the development plan.
Timely resolution of issues and development of systems.
Continuous personal development of product knowledge.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills required:
·       Proficient in CAD and project management.
·       Knowledge of control systems and electrical systems.
·       Excellent IT and communication skills.
·       A proactive approach to technical problem solving.
·       Minimum 5 GCSE’s
*We are considering applications from Graduate (or equivalent) for this position.
Although not essential, it may be an advantage if you have previous experience of conducting site surveys and technical inspections. Familiarity with hydraulics and the capability to perform basic structural calculations would also be an advantage.
