Within our Capital Design and Delivery department, we are looking for a Process Design Engineer to join our Water treatment team based in one of our design offices at Finham, Coventry, Raynesway, Derby or Shelton, Shropshire.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW  

Reporting to the Design Manager, the Process Design Engineer will provide design and oversight of technical solutions for water treatment schemes for Severn Trent’s design department.

You will be designing solutions or managing consultants for water treatment projects.

You will undertake feasibility, outline, and detailed design for projects within agreed timescales and budgets and provide construction support.

On a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, and support various project delivery teams. You will be responsible for sizing and designing key water treatment process equipment.

You will support H&S, undertake risk management, challenge designs, and ensure that appropriate support is provided to the programme team so that the solution is delivered efficiently on time and in line with specifications.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE 

Ideally qualified in Chemical Engineering, and hold or be working towards chartered engineer status or equivalent expertise, you will be an experienced design engineer with some experience in water treatment design.

You will be aware of the legal requirements of the industry, and familiar with the objectives of water treatment processes.

Experience with Design Risk Assessment, HAZOP, ALM, LOPA and buildability review will be a plus

You will be a keen problem solver who drives projects forward to meet deadlines, works flexibly to support the whole team, and always looking for learning opportunities.
