Project Design Engineer

R53 Suspension, a leading motorsport company operating at the pinnacle of high-level motorsport (GT Racing, Formula E, WRX, etc.) and high performance vehicles, is actively seeking a talented Project Design Engineer to oversee and manage projects from inception to completion .

If you have got good mechanical and engineering knowledge with excellent attention to detail as well as a motivation for self development and wishes to work on suspension systems for top motorsport and high performance vehicles, then we have the opportunity for you.

The role involves:

  • New Damper design and drawings suitable for production
  • R&D activities
  • Conceptual and detailed design of suspension/damper components and systems
  • Follow up from design to prototype build 
  • Operation of damper dyno for R&D activities
  • Fixtures, tooling and rig design
  • Production of manuals
  • BOM generation and maintenance 

Key responsibilities:

  • Technical Oversight for the project lifecycles
  • End-to-End Project Management

  • Client / supplier Interaction
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Ownership and Responsibility

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Degree in Mechanical engineering or similar
  • CREO, Solidworks, CATIA or similar 3D CAD system experience required
  • Familiarity with analyzing data using Excel.
  • Ability to use CAD system based FEA and Kinematics tools
  • Technical Proficiency
  • Project Management Skills
  • Adaptability
  • Ownership and Responsibility
  • Problem-Solving:
  • Fluid dynamics and Electro-hydraulic knowledge preferred but not essential
  • Damper design experience preferred but not essential
  • Communication
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Passion for motorsport
  • Confidentiality
