Escape Recruitment is working with an organisation that supplies parts and components and is looking to appoint a Senior Sourcing Specialist.

The Senior Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new Suppliers.

Responsibilities of the role will include:nConducting comprehensive industry research to identify new suppliersnMaking introductions with potential suppliers to understand their service offering, pricing and lead timesnNegotiate and agree commercial terms with suppliersnEnsuring all data relating to products, pricing and lead times is updated on the ERP systemnIdentify supply options for customer requests and work with the Sales Team to source and plan quotation requestsnMaintain the database for approved suppliersnMonitor Supplier PerformancenMentor and support team members

Experience and knowledge required for the role:nExperience working in a similar sourcing/procurement role with a bias on sourcing new suppliersnKnowledge of sourcing and procurement techniquesnUnderstanding of how to evaluate different suppliersnCommercially minded and can negotiate effectively and maintain profitable supplier relationshipsnExperienced in collecting and analysing datanExperience with ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel skillsnBuild and maintain effective relationships with multiple suppliersnExperience in mentoring and training team members
