We are looking to recruit qualified Speech and Language Therapists to work part-time across the Hertfordshire, Essex, East London and West London areas. Applicants must have obtained a degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
Our client is a family run business who prides itself on delivering fun and innovative therapy to clients and their families, many of whom they have worked with for several years. Therapy takes place in either school or homes depending on the client’s needs, and most involve the opportunity to work within an already established MDT. There will also be MDT meetings to attend and reports to write when requested.
The Business specialises in working with clients and young adults with Special Educational Needs and often Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. Experience of working with children with multiple AAC types would be beneficial but not essential.
This role would suit a band 5/ 6 therapist who is looking to specialise / venture into independent work or work extra hours in the evenings or weekends. Although work can be flexible regarding times and days according to the client, the clients will expect reliability and dedication.
The role will involve travel (which will be paid, as well as additional mileage costs up to a certain amount/time). Candidates must have a driving licence and have their own vehicle to get around.
Rate is £50 per hour for direct and indirect work relating to the clients and £25 per hour travel (up to a certain limit) plus 45p per mile travelled.
Associates will operate as self-employed therapists under the supervision of of the business. Support to set up as a self-employed therapist can be provided if needed.
In addition to working with individual clients throughout Herts, Essex and East London, there is also an opportunity to work for half a day within a primary mainstream school in Hertfordshire near St Albans and a whole day within a secondary Special School in Luton.
