Job Description: Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator that is an excellent problem-solver. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in streamlining and executing the transportation and distribution processes. Getting tasks done smartly and expediently is the key to stellar job performance and advancement within the company. Your primary responsibilities will include setting up shipment schedules, coordinating with suppliers and transportation vendors to make sure goods arrive on time, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods to customers, whatever it takes to get it done.
Responsibilities:
Managing Logistics Operations:
Coordinating transportation, including arranging pickups, deliveries, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery.

Optimizing routes and schedules and vendor and transporter choices to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.

Communicating and coordinating with suppliers, transportation vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Resolving any transportation or delivery conflicts or issues that may arise.
Supply Chain Coordination:
Collaborating with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely order processing and shipment.
Monitoring inventory levels and making recommendations to optimize stock levels.
Assisting with order management, invoicing, and processing documentation. 
Documentation and Compliance:
Preparing and maintaining accurate records/documentation related to shipments, delivery confirmations, and any associated paperwork.
Ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and local laws.
Keeping abreast of changes in logistics regulations and industry best practices. 
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collecting, analysing, and interpreting data related to transportation costs, delivery times, and inventory levels.
Generating regular reports to review and assess logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
Making recommendations to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance objects/packages reaches its destination on time. 
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in logistics or supply chain management is preferred but not required.
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence people and bring out the best in them, including use of humour to build better relations and create a healthy work environment.
Proficient in using logistics software and systems to manage and track shipments.
Knowledge of transportation modes, best practices, and industry regulations.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, interpret, and analyse logistics data.
Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records and handle documentation.
Adaptability and problem-solving skills to address unforeseen logistical challenges.
