Key Stage 1 Teacher SEN School Highgate

An inclusive SEN school in Highgate is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team and provide tailored engaging lessons for young students with additional educational needs. In this fulltime permanent role youll be instrumental in fostering a supportive learning environment where each child can develop essential skills confidence and a love for learning.

Role Highlights

  • Permanent fulltime role in a welcoming SEN school committed to individualized learning and studentcentered development
  • Provide oneonone and group instruction creating a personalized approach to help students with varying abilities build foundational skills across academic social and emotional domains
  • Collaborate with SEN support staff and specialists to design lesson plans that accommodate individual learning styles and foster positive engagement and progress
  • Build a nurturing classroom atmosphere where students feel motivated respected and encouraged to participate and explore
  • Access to ongoing professional development and training focused on SEN teaching techniques equipping you with strategies to support diverse needs effectively
  • Monitor and document student progress working closely with parents support staff and SEN professionals to ensure cohesive support aligned with each childs development goals

Experience & Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in KS1 teaching; prior experience or exposure to SEN environments is beneficial
  • A patient empathetic and adaptable approach to teaching with the ability to inspire a love for learning in young students with unique challenges
  • Strong communication skills for building supportive relationships with students colleagues and parents contributing to a collaborative teamoriented school environment
  • A passion for inclusive education with a commitment to creating engaging accessible learning opportunities that promote personal and academic growth
  • A current and clear Enhanced DBS check is required to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students
