Major Recruitment are seeking an experienced Senior NPD Technologist to join their client's team at their food manufacturing site in Bala Wales.

This is a customer facing NPD technologist. To ensure customer critical paths for project briefs are adhered to, launching product on time. Supporting briefs with innovative ideas and trends through market data and research.
The person profile
Preferably educated to degree level.
Experience working within an NPD technologist role in the food industry essential, ideally within bakery.
Knowledge and experience of bakery ingredient functionality
Understanding of HACCP Principles and suitably qualified (Level 3 minimum)
Good written and verbal communication skills
Computer literate in all aspects of Microsoft Office
Food Hygiene Qualified
Conversant with retailer Codes of Practice and Policies desirable - Tesco, Sainsbury's, CO-OP, Aldi, Asda, Morrisons, Iceland, Lidl, Bidfood and Premier / Cadbury would be an advantage.
Skills and Experience - Essential
Experience working within a Senior Technologist role in the food industry essential, ideally within bakery.
Accuracy, attention to detail and numerate approach to provide data on time in the right format.
Confident, articulate and courteous communicator over the phone, face-to-face and in writing.
Highly flexible, competent and adaptable and takes responsibility for own improvement.
Undertakes tasks with enthusiasm and always takes pride in his/her work. Communicates effectively at all levels, considers others' opinions and always treats others with respect.
A good understanding of the functions of ingredients used within the bakery sector.
