We are looking to recruit a building services/FM experienced senior manager to oversee a regional mobile maintenance division in providing engineering services to several key estates. The position is strategic in nature and will require the mobilisation of the maintenance teams and associated structure and work closely with the lead director.
Following on from mobilisation the Head of Mobile Maintenance will then run the various operations to ensure compliance, end-user service satisfaction and efficiency/profitability.
The role is a permanent position, can be based across the North UK (as will involve Facilities and Estates ranging from North West England, Yorkshire, Scotland central belt.
Salary circa 70-75k basic plus package.
The role will allow you to assist in the creation and delivery of mobile engineering maintenance operations across key accounts for the business and it's integration into existing resident requirements and needs. This covers Electrical, HVAC, compliance, plant room, controls and fabric oversight.
• Constantly monitor business relationship with multiple clients ensuring clear focus and effectiveness is maintained at all times with the operation.
• Monitor statutory company policies and control methods.
• To ensure company contractual commitments are met and exceeded through effective management and leadership.
• To effectively monitor staffing within the company covering all contracts ensuring staffing and support is provided through the highs and lows of the workload. To assist in the recruitment of mobile teams
• To actively ensure succession planning is in place and staff are competent to manage contracts within their remit.
• Provide effective teamwork ethos with Management and staff by support and development.
• To provide support and direction via training, guidance and leadership to ensure the company’s core values are delivered and maintained.
• Attend management team meetings/briefings to ensure effective communication is maintained throughout the business at all times utilising reporting tools and provide advice through leadership and direct involvement in these roles.
• Implementation of contracts ensuing company policies are communicated throughout.
• Ensure all staff/employees are supported in the provision of training and competency in their job roles with any eye for future career progression together with the delivery of training and development throughout conducive to a progressive and proactive learning environment.
To oversee and audit existing PPM and reactive maintenance compliance and contractual obligations and to ensure the mobile maintenance structure adds value and effectiveness to the overall service delivery strategy
To oversee compliance reporting and documentation recording
To report closely with the Technical Director and resident teams, to report to relevant stakeholders. The role will require high levels or client liaison and interface.
Head of Mobile Maintenance Requirements:
The candidate must have previous experience in the Facilities Management and Building Services sector, preferably with experience on/in large scale estate and account management
The candidate should be technically astute in electrical, HVAC and plant room maintenance
Must have previous experience in the management of mobile PPM and reactive maintenance teams and operations across regional and/or national levels
Must have previous P&L responsibility and be commercially aware
Have excellent mobilisation and team building skills and experience with a desire to take ownership of the operation
Must be conversant with large scale end users and be able to ascertain the bespoke needs and contractual obligations linked to each account
Be familiar with statutory compliance and associated reporting/recording methods plus systems and processes such as SFG20, CAFM, RAMS etc.
Ideally have H&S training such as IOSH etc.
Excellent man-management and delegation skills
Valid driving license
Be willing and able to clear SC clearance
