Behaviour Assistant role
Teaching personnel are working with a school in Salford to recruit for a SEN teaching assistant. For this position, you will be working with children with autism, ADHD and/or other moderate learning difficulties. You will be required to have a good understanding of behaviour management and the ability to diffuse challenging situations within the classroom. This will be a challenging role, however, for the right person will be hugely rewarding and beneficial.
This primary school embraces diversity and inclusivity with a large proportion of the children having English as an additional language (EAL). The school prides themselves on having a welcoming and positive atmosphere and place high value on developing strong relationships with parents and carers, working together for the best interests of the children.
About the role:
-          Full time starting from September 2024
-          Working closely with SEN pupils, both 1:1 and group work
-          Supporting the teacher with behaviour management in the classroom
-          Creating an environment that fosters growth and development
-          Commitment to making a positive impact on the pupils
-          Collaborate with teachers and the school SENCO to create individual support plans
-          Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment
-          Foster the social and emotional development of pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
About you:
-          Prior experience of working with SEN/ pupils with SEMH needs
-          Ability to engage and support pupils effectively
-          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-          Passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential
-          Be enthusiastic and driven
-          Have a nurturing , compassionate nature

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
