The Managing Director job itself where you will support and subsequently take over from the owner who is looking to retire in a full-scope MD role:  Overseeing daily operations, strategic direction, and business growth. As MD you will uphold the company’s customer-centred values while driving expansion and innovation across product lines and services. More specifically:
Strategic Leadership: Define and execute growth and operational strategies aligning with company vision.

Operational Oversight: Ensure seamless production, quality control, and customer service.

Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and manage teams across various departments.

Financial Management: Develop budgets, manage financial health, and work with accountants to track metrics.

Business Development: Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and expansion areas.

Compliance & Safety: Oversee adherence to industry standards, workplace safety, and regulatory compliance.
You will have
To be successful as Managing Director – MD, you need to have a good business head and be able to manage the entire company. Plus a healthy mix of the following:
Proven experience in senior management, ideally within the construction, manufacturing, or stone masonry industries.

Strong leadership, strategic planning, and project management skills.

Financial acumen with experience in budget management and profitability analysis.

Knowledge of stone or related materials (granite, quartz) and industry trends is beneficial.
