Position: Multi-Skilled Engineer (3-Month Temporary Assignment)
Location: Kidlington, Oxfordshire
About the Role: Our client, a growing business, is seeking a talented Multi-Skilled Engineer for a 3-month temporary assignment. In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation and installation of innovative hygiene systems and machinery. Your hands-on expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems will be crucial in troubleshooting issues, performing installations and maintenance, and implementing preventive strategies to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform hands-on installation and building of new machinery on industrial sites.
* Conduct maintenance and inspections on all equipment and systems.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
* Implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
* Collaborate with the project engineering team to improve system reliability and efficiency.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Provide technical support and training to operational staff.
* Assist in the installation and commissioning of new systems and machinery.
* Utilize a broad skill set to address a variety of technical challenges across different systems.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer or similar role.
* Hands-on engineering experience on industrial sites.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* Relevant technical qualifications or certifications.
* Experience in the food manufacturing industry is a plus.
* Flexibility and adaptability to handle diverse technical tasks.
