**Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading the design and analysis of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and analysis of mechanical systems, including 3D modeling, prototyping, and design verification testing.
  • Select mechanical components, considering standardization, obsolescence, availability, and cost.
  • Prepare and present mechanical designs at design reviews, ensuring design files and information are up-to-date and stored appropriately.
  • Liaise with other departments, including sales and marketing, mechanical build, electrical, and production to ensure products are designed for manufacture and assembly.
  • Take the technical lead on all projects, coach and support junior engineers in design techniques, define departmental processes, and identify opportunities for process, productivity, and quality improvements.
  • Ensure all supporting documentation is complete and available, including Bills of Materials and installation guides.
  • Develop effective relationships with all stakeholders, adhere to company policies and procedures, and consistently apply workplace management and rules.

**Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
  • Automotive experience.
  • Advanced SolidWorks proficiency.
  • Proven track record in leading product development projects.
  • Extensive expertise in designing bespoke automotive projects.
  • Practical experience in assembly and testing.

**Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with EV systems and battery design.

  • Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm.
