As a Senior Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial claims, ensuring efficient and effective resolution from start to finish. You will act as a key point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance and maintaining the highest standards of service.
What you’ll be doing:
- Handle a diverse range of commercial claims.
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, loss adjusters, and other parties to facilitate timely and fair claim settlements.
- Conduct thorough investigations and assessments to determine liability and coverage.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior claims handlers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in claims handling.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient claims management processes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Claims Handler, particularly with commercial claims.
- Deep understanding of insurance policies, coverage issues, and claims procedures.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple claims concurrently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with claims management software and related tools.
- Professional qualifications such as CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) are highly desirable.
