The Opportunity
Given continued expansion and successful project portfolio growth, a leading engineering consultancy based in the Warrington area are looking for a Process Engineer to support their dynamic team. You will support projects across industries delivering Process Engineering Design within single or multi-discipline engineering, EPCM or EPC projects for all the major sectors (Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, Petrochemicals and Food).
Your duties and responsibilities will be
* As a Process Engineer, you will be reporting to the Lead Process Engineer, you will be responsible for the production of the process design within single or multi-discipline engineering, EPCM or EPC projects; ranging from concept design and FEED to detailed design and engineering and execution engineering support.
* You are responsible to complete the process Engineering and design as set out in the project Scope; projects from gas compression stations to pressure reduction stations.
* You will provide process data for line list, equipment list, instrument schedule, etc.
* You will support the Lead Engineer in delivering the process design within budget and planning. This includes change control and consistency of the process design with the other disciplines. You will also Support the lead process engineer and wider engineering team to deliver FPSA activities.
* Participating in internal and external design reviews and present your designs to the Lead Engineer
* You will, depending on size and complexity, be process engineer for one project, or for a portfolio of projects. Taking responsibility to deliver projects in a multi-discipline environment and be capable of coordinating all Process engineering, with the other disciplines.
You will have the following qualifications and experience
* Experience of process safety – PHA, HAZOP, LOPA, DSEAR and pressure relief
* MEng / MSc / BSc / BEng in Process / Chemical Engineering
* Proven experience as a process engineer, in single / multi-discipline projects, in an Engineering / EPCM / EPC company, in one of the above mentioned sectors.
* Good knowledge of Process engineering, but you also have an understanding of the other disciplines (Automation, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping and EC&I)
* Experience of the latest tools for process design such as process simulation, AutoCAD and other software. You don’t need to be an expert user but you need to be able to operate and deliver the designs using this software unsupervised.
It’s great if you also have the following
* Experience with construction, testing and commissioning activities required by Engineering to support post design activities (preferred)
* Sound understanding of the current British and International Standards.
* Result oriented. You are only satisfied after your engineering and design is accepted by the Lead Engineer, you delivered top quality and the client is satisfied
* You have a ‘first time right’ mentality
