The Opportunity
Due to successful project expansion, a fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Principal Process Engineer to join our client's leading engineering firm that provides a range of services to clients in various industries. They are committed to delivering high-quality solutions that meet their clients' needs and exceed their expectations. As a Principal Process Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with a small integrated design team and within subcontractor organisation in the delivery of design packages against milestones. You will also have the chance to travel occasionally to site (Cumbria).
Estimated Duration 12 months
This role has been deemed inside of IR35
The Role
As a Process Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for the production of technical and engineering reports including resource management, task monitoring, task delegation. You will manage the production of process drawings, calculations & specifications (including checking and approval). You will also be responsible for estimating hours for scope changes or additional works along with outlining supporting schedule for the discipline.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
* Production of process engineering deliverables including steam and condensate supply and discharge system specification, CfA determination and PH control measures, process description, flowsheet and basis of process safety.
* Working with a small integrated design team and within subcontractor organisation in the delivery of design packages against milestones.
* Ability to estimate hours for scope changes or additional works along with outlining supporting schedule for the discipline.
You Will Have the Following Qualifications & Experience
* Degree qualified in a chemical engineering discipline.
* Proactive and driven approach to work, taking ownership of the tasks required to be completed under their remit.
* Good communication skills and ability to work with other team members.
* Competent report writing skills: clearly and concisely reporting findings.
* Comfortable working under time and cost constraints.

* Nuclear knowledge.
* Ideally chartered or working towards chartership.
