The Opportunity
Given increased project expansion, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced CS&A Principal Engineer to join our client's ambitious team of nuclear specialists, where you will be responsible for assisting in supporting the CS&A team to ongoing Asset Care and new project scope on emerging Front End Engineering (FED) Projects.
The role
As the CS&A Lead engineer, you will be responsible for managing all project work and producing/checking design deliverables working across a range of asset care projects at various stages of the project lifecycle, with some being initiated in the next month or two.
Estimated Duration- 12 months
This role has been deemed inside of IR35.
You will have the following qualifications and experience
* General all round civil and structural design experience required, with experience working on alterations and modifications to existing structures amongst other asset care type projects.
* Proficient user of MS Office suite.
* Demonstrate strong leadership behaviours to drive timely delivery of an engineering schedule to quality and cost.
* Experience of managing projects, developing schedules and estimates and managing stakeholders.
* Chartered Engineer with the IStructE or ICE.
* Incorporated Engineer with the IStructE or ICE (minimum).
It’s great if you also have the following
* Experienced in delivering work for SL.
* Experienced in writing safety case documents (e.g. DARs and DJRs Substantiation).
* A strong understanding of the challenges faced working on asset care tasks in the nuclear sector.
* Monitored Worker.
* Experience using searching for SL information in Cimage and Icepac.
* Proficient in the use of Tedds and Staad Pro.
* Security clearance details.
* Successful candidate may commence work with BPSS and partner IT until P1 pass is in process and the SL IT is requested.
