Role PurposenOur Client is seeking a paralegal professional to join our London and/or Newcastle office on a full time basis.
Your primary responsibilities will include drafting and review of client contracts, conducting legal research, supporting stakeholders in our Digital, Product, Customer Services and Sales teams on ad hoc queries and ensuring the contracts are reflective of pricing models and approved by Finance and Commercial teams.
Main Dutiesndrafting, review and executionnNDA’s according to Client standard templatesnMSA’s, SOW’s and DPA’s using Client standard templatesnclient contracts and coordinating the signature process via DocuSignncontract amendments after consultation with Head of Legal (HoL)nand managing responses to escalated customer concerns and disputes.nthe organisation of contracts post-signature and responding to queries from Finance as needed for invoicingncampaign review meetings and flagging legal issues to HoL for follow upnout to Commercial on behalf of the Legal team and liasing with Sales to ensure consistency between pricing and contract wording before signaturenProject Managers with legal queries around promotions and website build, and wording for consumer facing Terms and ConditionsnAudits and Risk Management/ReviewsnCompliance with data security and privacy related auditsnLegal and Compliance with vendor onboarding packsnCustomer Services with data privacy queries
Skills and experiencenThe ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who works well in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
Experience and qualities include:nLaw Degree (2:1 or above) from a recognised university is essentialnCILEX Diploma, LPC, SQE or Bar Course or Paralegal certification is desirednFluent spoken and written second language (particularly French or Italian) would be beneficialnStrong working knowledge of data privacy / GDPRnFamiliarity with consumer law and CAP CodenA basic knowledge and understanding of IP law (preferred)nStrong research and writing skills (essential)nStrong contract drafting skills (essential)nAccuracy and attention to detail (essential)nMaintain confidentiality (essential)nExcellent communication skillsnAbility to work effectively in a team and independently (essential).nStakeholder management (essential).nAble to prioritise own workload and flownAble to demonstrate sound judgement and decision-making skills.nAdvanced and appropriate IT skills.
