Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a highly versatile and skilled Curriculum Manager to oversee the tutor support department, providing curriculum support and ensuring tutors comply with CPD mandatory requirements. Working closely with the operational team to develop processes. You will also be responsible for performance management and appraisals of direct reports and ongoing performance management of associates. We offer a full induction and training package to our new staff, so you very quickly feel part of the team.
Requirements of the Role
* Collaborate with the Engagement Team and Curriculum Development Teams to create appropriate timetables that align with delivery models, curriculum requirements, and commercial validation.
* Support tutors to ensure they provide outstanding experience for all learners.
* Line manage contracted and associate tutors.
* Contribute to the recruitment of full-time and associate tutors and oversee their induction training.
* Manage the performance of contracted and associate tutors.
* Oversee the appraisal process for direct reports.
* Regularly access MIS/Qlik reporting to ensure data accurately reflects provision and informs performance management.
* Assist tutors in developing learning materials and session plans and oversee their development plans.
* Work closely with the Head of Quality to meet active and achievement KPIs.
* Lead ongoing SAR-related programs of study.
* Collaborate with the Head of Quality to gather learner feedback and track learner destinations.
* Serve as the primary contact for face-to-face and remote support and coaching for the team.
* Coordinate and contribute to the training and development of all tutors, including post-observation training needs.
* Lead team meetings with full-time and associate tutors.
* Manage the tutor database/matrix, ensuring all details are up-to-date and informing key stakeholders.
* Attend standardisation meetings and recruitment events, including some evenings and weekends.
* Liaise with the admin and moderation teams to ensure timely achievement and maintain less than 5% Past End Date of Learners (PPED).
* Conduct all activities in line with company values and expected behaviours.
* Implement and comply with Safeguarding and Health and Safety policies.
* Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
* Promote equal opportunities and recognition of diversity throughout the company.
* Possess experience in Maths and English functional skills, with the potential to support Maths and English delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
Teaching Qualification
Knowledge and understanding of AEB, Learner Loans, Skills Bootcamps programmes are beneficial
Experience in Curriculum Development and Timetable Planning.
Proven Track Record in Performance Management of educational staff.
Drive and enthusiasm in developing and supporting tutors to enhance learner experiences
Proficiency in MIS/Qlik Reporting or similar data management systems.
Experience in Developing Learning Materials and Session Plans.
Familiarity with Safeguarding and Health and Safety Policies.
Experience with Maths and English Functional Skills.
Ability to build strong working relationships with staff, learners, and stakeholders.
Proficient in analysing data to inform performance management and curriculum decisions.
Skilled in using various educational and administrative software.
Ensuring accuracy in data management and reporting.
Maintaining professional and confidential handling of all matters.
