Role: Financial Accountant

Platinum Recruitment is working in partnership with a popular an international Interior furnishings company, who have a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join their team.

£55,000 to £60,000 per annum + 5% discretionary bonus (based on personal & company performance) + benefits detailed below
Reporting to Technical & Development Manager
Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5.00pm

Hybrid model. 3 days onsite & 2 days working from homeWe have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join us. As Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of accurate management accounts and reporting ensuring compliance with financial controls. We are a collective of six luxury interior brands, each with a special role to play, and two manufacturing brands
Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly management accounts aligned to agreed timeline for divisional and group close
Monthly analysis and review of variances actuals vs budget/forecast
Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and the relevant statutory accounting standards
Preparation of information for tax returns
VAT and sales tax reporting
Reconciling key balance sheet accounts
Oversee payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments
Contact for external audit deliverables at half year and year end
Providing project assistance for implementing new systems and processes
Ad hoc reports and analysis
Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or equivalent accountancy qualification
Requirement to travel to other sites across the group as necessary Measures of success
Delivery of the monthly management accounts, statutory accounts and reporting to group to agreed deadlines
Accuracy of monthly management accounts and across all work areas Skills & Experience
Able to report finance information to non-finance colleagues
High degree of attention to detail with the ability to self-review and error-check work to ensure accuracy
Highly developed problem solving abilities and organisational skills
Competent user of MS Excel
Excellent numerical and communication skills
