This role is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Development Chef to take on a customer facing role alongside the Sales team. Both winning new business and maintaining strong relationships with existing food service customers.
Candidate:
* We are looking for a passionate and creative Development Chef who has previous experience of working within food manufacturing and/or high-end service restaurants with the ability to work with and inspire the existing concept team.
* You’ll need to have excellent food presentation skills with the ability to articulate and communicate your ideas to new potential customers and business overheads.
* You’ll need to be able to hit the ground running, so previous experience of developing fresh/chilled dishes for customers is essential.
* As well as having a strong creative flair and the ability to encourage creative thinking within a team, you must also be aware of foodservice trends and menus.
Role:
* You will be reporting into the Sales & Marketing Manager.
* You will work closely with food service customers in a professional & confidential way.
* In this exciting and challenging role, you’ll be instrumental in identifying potential gaps in foodservice menus.
* You will be busy researching products, brainstorming new ideas, creating, presenting & cooking new concepts for customers.
* You will also use your commercial acumen to make sure your products are successful whilst keeping up to date with competitor activity so that you can identify potential areas of innovation to help maximise business opportunities in this fast-moving category.
* You will work closely with the National Account Managers to recognise new business and go with them to present concepts to prospective new customers.
