Role Description:nAs a Disaster Recovery Specialist, you will support the IT DR Manager, Senior DR Specialists, and Business Continuity Analyst. Your primary responsibilities include managing administrative tasks in Continuity Planning documentation and review, Continuity Testing planning, preparation, and delivery, Vendor Continuity Assurance, and IT DR Service On-boarding. You will ensure the smooth operation of the IT Continuity process lifecycle within Team Technology, focusing on minimizing potential disruptions to services through effective continuity planning and testing.

Key Responsibilities:nCreate, develop, and maintain Disaster Recovery plans for business and IT systems.nMaintain Corporate DR Planning tools such as DRAIP, JIRA, and shared documents like the Team Testing schedule.nManage and execute physical testing of Disaster Recovery Plans, including:nCreating and maintaining specific DR test run-books.nNegotiating and agreeing on test dates/times with Application Stakeholders.nCreating and progressing formal IT Change Control approvals.nArranging and booking appropriate test resources.nSending pre-Test communications to business and IT users.nCoordinating resources during each DR Test.nGathering and collating DR test results and evidence.nCreating and storing DR Test Reports.nConducting DR test re-runs if required.nEnsuring safe and secure DR Tests, ensuring production systems remain unaffected.nNote: Testing occurs mainly on Sundays, but also on Saturdays and weekday evenings.nSupport Senior Disaster Recovery Specialists with departmental deliverables as needed.nAssist business and IT projects with DR process information and advice.nEscalate identified gaps within the DR environment to the Senior DR Recovery Specialist.nStay updated on BC/DR industry best practices that may impact BC/DR deliveries.nComply with AJG Professional Standards Manual and statutory requirements.nFollow internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Gallagher’s values.nPerform ad hoc tasks as requested by management.

Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience: Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP).nProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.nProven ability to meet deadlines.nInitiative in dealing with challenges.nExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.nStrong organizational skills.nProactive approach.nAbility to work well under pressure.nFlexible approach to a changing environment.nHigh level of professionalism, trust, and integrity.nClose attention to detail and accuracy.
