An opportunity for an accomplished IT Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Manager has arisen with a leading global law firm client of ours.


As an IT Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Manager, you will lead the global IT Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery program to uplift services, risk identification & management. You will be responsible for continuous improvement activities which underpin the efficient return to service in the event of a catastrophic failure in services.


Key responsibilities:


  • Oversee the creation, implementation, and communication of IT business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Maintain, test, and improve IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans and documentation.
  • Develop accreditation plans for IT Business Continuity, aiming for standards such as ISO22301.
  • Serve as the IT subject matter expert for client inquiries, RFPs, and during internal and external audits.
  • Evaluate new or changed IT continuity requirements, proposing business cases if necessary.
  • Develop, in conjunction with senior management, the annual test schedule to include technical recovery tests and tabletop exercises.


Required Experience:


  • Substantial proven experience in BCDR role.
  • Membership of BCI or DRII or a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP).
  • Previous experience of IT risk assessment.
  • Previous business analyst experience.
  • Strong vision that is aligned to delivering business goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with, lead and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational, planning, prioritising and execution skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, along with demonstrated presentation skills.
