The role:
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the optimal performance, maintenance, and financial viability of these properties while fostering positive tenant relationships.
Key duties include:
Supervise day-to-day operations of the Council's diverse commercial properties, ensuring they function smoothly and meet established quality standards.
Collaborate with property staff to address maintenance needs, repairs and general upkeep
Manage the end-to-end leasing process for vacant commercial spaces, from marketing and tenant screening to negotiating lease terms and finalising agreements.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with commercial tenants, acting as the main point of contact for inquiries, concerns and requests
Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair activities, liaising with contractors, tenants and internal teams to ensure timely completion and quality workmanshipKey skills and experience:
Full drivers licence and own vehicle
Good knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Legislation.
Able to deal politely and tactfully with people at all levels face to face and by telephone.
The ability to visually inspect various properties and report upon accordingly or take action.
