We’re on the hunt for a proactive Resource and Materials Coordinator to join us on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract to be responsible for the day to day management of our high value materials contract with Travis Perkins. You’ll be joining Futures at an exciting time of change for the Group offering a wealth of opportunities to our employees.

You’ll be responsible for checking of invoices to ensure we are getting good value from the materials contract and you’ll be the first point of contact for deliveries at the depot and ensuring the van stock replenishment is operating efficiently.

You will work alongside our approved material supplier to ensure the stock they hold is adequate for our needs, including reviewing core stock and ensuring best value for money. Sourcing materials from other suppliers where needed.

You’ll be logical and analytical when collating / analysing performance information for understanding performance of the materials contract

You will also work closely with the other Workplanners, to ensuring fleet and clothing requirements are being met. .

You’ll be a relationship builder, working closely with both the Repairs Manager and Procurement Manager, tackling any performance and materials issues raised by the team

A few key points from our role profile:

  • Monitor performance of the £1,000,000 material procurement contract with approved material suppliers including attending monthly meetings, monitoring and reporting of performance against KPI’s and being the first point of contact for deliveries to Leabrooks depot.
  • Control the van stock process ensuring all van stocks are replenished three times a week maintaining and adjusting reorder levels, raising all orders for materials.
  • Working alongside approved material suppliers to ensure accuracy of stock held, including reviewing core stock and ensuring best value for money. Sourcing materials from other suppliers.
  • Work alongside Stores Person to ensure excess materials held at Leabrooks Depot are used quickly and efficiently to keep stock holding to a minimum, whilst ensuring we are holding minimum stock to cover shortages in our supply chain where applicable.
  • Work alongside the Repairs Manager and Procurement Manager to tackle any performance and material issues raised by the team.
  • Process and check invoice and claims for payment to ensure materials have been correctly costed to each job in preparation for authorisation and assist with resolving routine queries on the actual materials including cost and credits.
