Infrastructure Services – Our team of infrastructure specialists design, build and maintain critical energy and water infrastructure, for the UK’s largest network owners and operators. The work we do supports the requirement for effective solutions to address the UK’s decarbonisation goals, and our processes minimise environmental and carbon impacts, whilst ensuring the safe and reliable operation of assets.
New Homes - As experienced and specialist new build housing contractors, we create homes and regenerate areas with communities in mind. We work collaboratively with registered partners, local authorities, and private developers to provide high quality, energy efficient, and sustainable homes for people to live and grow.
Connected - We connect people through fixed-line and wireless telecom infrastructure, ensuring seamless communication and access to information for all. At United Living, we have one of the largest specialist in-house teams for project management, acquisition, design, construction, and maintenance in the UK.
Job Description
To deliver multi-site Safety, Health, Environmnet and Quality Support for New Homes providing advice, guidance and support by effective engagement and challenge with project teams and supply chain
Communicate and promote a positive SHEQ culture
Support the United Living/New Homes Safety Standards through the delivery of a SHEQ Strategy
Provide comprehensive SHEQ support and advise to New Homes projects
Monitor site performance using the United Living systems
Manage accident/incident investigations and communicate shared learnings
Guide and advise projects on the implementation of the business management system, policies and procedures
Lead and support the continuous improvements of the SHEQ performance
Proactively manage the closing of actions via internal reporting arrangements
Support and advise our supply chain partners when required
Participate and support the bid/pre-construction teams as required based on the risk profile
Support Line Manager and the wide team in delivery of the agreed strategy and action plans

Qualifications
Interpersonal, Supervisory or Management
· Good inter-personal skills with proven skills in coaching and motivating people
· Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all organisational levels (including Senior Managers).
· Ability to recommend preventative action, develop new initiatives and co-ordinate or ensure their implementation.
· Ability to develop & deliver training/briefing material in an innovative, enjoyable but effective way.
· Demonstrates determination to achieve business goals despite opposition and displays personal
commitment
Technical or Specialist
· A good understanding of CDM Regulations, specifically in relation to Client, Principal Designer & Principal Contractor role.
· Experienced in auditing and root cause analysis techniques.
· Ability to identify and assess patterns of resistance and effective problem-solving skills
Experience in city centre highrise concrete frame construction
Qualifications: Essential (at appointment):
· NEBOSH Diploma or Equivalent 
· Current full UK driving license
Desirable:
· Membership of a safety or environmental professional body or engineering institute to incorporated or chartered level
Additional Information

Strong team player who can build effective relationships
Good self-motivation, time management and ability to work remotely
IT literate with a keen eye for data accuracy
Has a formal qualification in SHEQ
Experience in accident investigations
Application of legislation and case law in practice
Ability to travel with occasional overnight stays
