Job Description

To deliver multi-site Safety, Health, Environmnet and Quality Support for New Homes providing advice, guidance and support by effective engagement and challenge with project teams and supply chain

  • Communicate and promote a positive SHEQ culture
  • Support the United Living/New Homes Safety Standards through the delivery of a SHEQ Strategy
  • Provide comprehensive SHEQ support and advise to New Homes projects
  • Monitor site performance using the United Living systems
  • Manage accident/incident investigations and communicate shared learnings
  • Guide and advise projects on the implementation of the business management system, policies and procedures
  • Lead and support the continuous improvements of the SHEQ performance
  • Proactively manage the closing of actions via internal reporting arrangements
  • Support and advise our supply chain partners when required
  • Participate and support the bid/pre-construction teams as required based on the risk profile
  • Support Line Manager and the wide team in delivery of the agreed strategy and action plans
  • Other duties that may be allocated

Qualifications

Interpersonal, Supervisory or Management

· Good inter-personal skills with proven skills in coaching and motivating people

· Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all organisational levels (including Senior Managers).

· Ability to recommend preventative action, develop new initiatives and co-ordinate or ensure their implementation.

· Ability to develop & deliver training/briefing material in an innovative, enjoyable but effective way.

· Demonstrates determination to achieve business goals despite opposition and displays personal

commitment

Technical or Specialist

· A good understanding of CDM Regulations, specifically in relation to Client, Principal Designer & Principal Contractor role.

· Experienced in auditing and root cause analysis techniques.

· Ability to identify and assess patterns of resistance and effective problem-solving skills

Experience in city centre highrise concrete frame construction

Qualifications: Essential (at appointment):

· NEBOSH Diploma or Equivalent

· Current full UK driving license

Desirable:

· Membership of a safety or environmental professional body or engineering institute to incorporated or chartered level
