Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) - Secondary School
Location: Loughton
Salary: £90 - £110 p.day
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (5 days per week)
Start Date: September 2024
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant Secondary School team. This role involves providing 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs, ensuring they receive the tailored assistance they require to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and engage with their learning.
Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to deliver a cohesive support strategy.
Encourage and promote the social and emotional development of students.
Support students during classroom activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Help with personal care tasks as required, ensuring the dignity and comfort of the student.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.About You:
Previous experience working with students with SEN, particularly in a secondary school setting, is highly desirable.
A caring and patient attitude, with excellent communication skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
A proactive and flexible approach to work, able to adapt to the changing needs of students.
Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support are advantageous.Why Join Us?
